How to Play 10-Yard Fight

Quick start

Use SELECT at the title for 1 PLAYER or 2 PLAYERS and press START. For solo play, choose the opposing skill with the D-pad and press START again; High School is the first practice option. Return the kickoff, then press A to snap at the next formation. Try a short run before attempting a pass through defenders.

Controls

D-pad moves. On offense A snaps and throws the forward pass; Left/Right plus B sends a side pass. At the beginning of a play, Down+A enters Kick Mode; aim with Left/Right and press A to kick. Press directions quickly to shake tacklers. On defense A or B selects the marked defender, then either button makes a flying tackle. SELECT chooses player count at the title; START confirms, starts and pauses/resumes.

10-Yard Fight — About this game

Each play begins with a simple formation and direct control rather than a playbook menu. On offense, take the snap and look for space to run, make a sideways pass to a nearby teammate or send the ball to the forward receiver. Once the carrier crosses the scrimmage line, passing is no longer available, so decide before committing to the run. Four downs give the offense a chance to advance ten yards and earn another set. Kicking provides an alternative when a touchdown looks unlikely: enter Kick Mode before the snap, aim the arrow and kick. On defense, choose either marked defender and time a flying tackle against the carrier. The game counts ordinary football points, including six for a touchdown and three for a field goal, over two accelerated halves. Solo play offers five skill levels from High School to Super Bowl and advances the opposition after a win. Two players control opposing teams at the same time.
