How to Play Astro Fang: Super Machine
Quick start
Press START at the title and follow the opening to the first route map. Check the shop marks, then press A to set off. Hold A to accelerate, brake before dense obstacles and try Down to narrow the car. Keep missiles for threats you cannot safely avoid and the boss.
Controls
Left/Right steers; Up fires one missile per press; Down changes car form. A accelerates, releasing it slows naturally; B brakes. START pauses/resumes; SELECT switches BGM on/off. On the route map A starts. In shops SELECT moves the item pointer, A buys and B exits.
Astro Fang: Super Machine — About this game
The Black Line highway crosses a ruined alien planet, and reaching its far end means surviving six stages of traffic, obstacles and boss vehicles. Astro Fang combines a behind-the-car road view with limited missiles and a fuel gauge. Accelerating earns distance and points, but collisions spend fuel and reduce the score that also pays for supplies. Before each stage, a map reveals branches and shop positions. A tempting shortcut can skip the refill you need, so route choice matters as much as speed. The car can narrow its body to fit through small gaps; in that form it cannot fire, requiring a switch back before attacking. Shops sell fuel, missile refills, side-mounted Fangs, reinforced bodywork, barriers and snow tires. Crashes can strip useful equipment, while later icy roads make traction another reason to prepare ahead. After a stage victory, a supply craft replenishes fuel and missiles before the next road.
