How to Play Atlantis no Nazo
Quick start
Press START on the title screen. If the demonstration is running, START returns to the title, then START begins. In Zone 1, practise short and held-A jumps. Throw a bomb with B, move away from its blast and try a closed doorway after opening it. Remember the destination before choosing the next route.
Controls
Left/Right move; Down crouches. A jumps; hold it for more height. B throws Bon; Down+B makes a shorter throw. START begins and pauses/resumes play. SELECT is unused in normal play.
Atlantis no Nazo — About this game
Win enters Atlantis to find his missing master and confront the emperor Zavira. Instead of following a fixed sequence of stages, he explores a network of 100 zones joined by doorways. The landscape scrolls in either direction, and returning to an earlier area can reveal a more useful route. Some doors stand open; others must be blasted with Bon explosives, while hidden entrances reward careful investigation. Bombs are also Win’s weapon, but their explosions can cost him a life. Enemies, deep gaps and the zone timer make every detour a decision. Treasure chests add points, and mysterious items alter what is possible on later paths: a lamp helps in dark areas and boots allow movement on clouds. Icy ground introduces another problem for your jumps. Take note of where each doorway leads rather than assuming that a larger zone number means progress. The search is as much about learning connections as surviving the platforms.
