Bill Elliott’s NASCAR Challenge — About this game

Choose a stock car and tune its engine, transmission, spoiler angle, gear ratio and tire stagger for the circuit. Practice and qualifying give you a chance to learn the track before the championship puts you against a field of rival drivers. The NES season uses four circuits twice apiece, for eight races. Oval tracks reward a steady line and careful drafting, while road courses ask for earlier braking and deliberate gear changes. Damage and tire wear make smooth driving matter over a long event. With a manual gearbox, shift before the engine reaches its limit; an automatic setting lets you focus on steering and traffic. This is a solo racing simulation, not a split-screen contest.
