How to Play Blaster Master
Quick start
Start with START and practise the vehicle’s jump before leaving the opening area. At a small entrance, stop on safe ground, press SELECT to dismount and press down at the doorway. In the overhead section try B gunfire and A grenades at a safe distance. Gather supplies before the boss, then return with the upgrade and reconsider previously blocked routes.
Controls
Side view: D-pad moves, A jumps, B fires and SELECT enters or leaves the vehicle. START opens the equipment subscreen; choose a special weapon and use down+B to fire it. In overhead dungeons, A throws grenades and B fires the gun. Hold A to keep facing one direction while moving and shooting.
Blaster Master — About this game
Exploration alternates between two scales. Outside, the armoured vehicle jumps and shoots across side-view terrain; the pilot must leave it to enter small passages and tackle overhead dungeons. Their bosses supply new vehicle functions, so an old blocked route can become the next destination. Hovering, underwater mobility and surface-climbing abilities gradually change how the eight areas connect. Inside a dungeon, the pilot relies on a gun and grenades. Gun capsules improve the weapon, while enemy hits reduce its power, making a careful approach useful before the guardian. The pilot’s outdoor movement is also more vulnerable than travelling in the vehicle, especially around drops. Keep track of the machine and the return path, not just the next enemy. This is a single-player journey built around upgrades and revisiting places, rather than a score chase.
