Bub and Bob clear one compact platform room at a time by trapping enemies and bursting the occupied bubbles. Touching an untrapped monster or its attack costs a life, so the safe approach is to line up your bubble before closing the gap. Burst a connected group for a larger score, then collect the food left behind. Empty bubbles also become stepping stones: hold A while riding one from below to reach a higher platform. Candy improves bubble speed, reach or firing rate, shoes speed movement, and the letters of EXTEND award an extra life when completed. Two players cooperate at the same time; a surviving player can sacrifice a life to bring the partner into the game. Continue choices revisit reached rounds during the current session, while a written password preserves a return point for a later session.
