Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers 2 (The Disney Afternoon Collection / Switch) — About this game

This entry is the NES game included in The Disney Afternoon Collection / Switch. Its campaign and original button actions remain the focus here; the collection’s challenges, gallery and rewind or save tools belong to the host collection.

A report of a restaurant bomb sends the Rangers into action after Fat Cat escapes. Their investigation leads through sewers and warehouses into the mystery of the Pharaoh’s urn. One player chooses Chip or Dale, who share the same moves; two players can act simultaneously and lift or throw their partner. The route mostly advances in sequence, with a later choice of order for three key areas.

Boxes provide both weapons and shelter. Crouch while carrying one to hide, or keep moving with an object until it flashes for a stronger throw. Upward throws and rolling objects along the ground offer ways to reach different targets. Ranger plaques earn badges that help expand maximum hearts, so searching under objects matters beyond ordinary health pickups. Boss fights often require waiting for something to throw while watching moving terrain. In the opening restaurant, learn to lift a box, throw it and drop through a platform before rushing into the rabbit’s watery arena.
