How to Play Code Name: Viper
Quick start
Press START for a new game and use A to advance Commander Jones's briefing. The first mission begins at the Amazon fortress. Fire with B, check doors with UP and locate the bomb-carrying captive before trying to leave the stage.
Controls
Left/right: move, including in the air. Down: crouch. UP at a door: enter; hold UP to stay behind it. A: jump, held longer for more height; UP+A/DOWN+A change tiers where possible. B: fire. A advances dialogue. START pauses/resumes.
Code Name: Viper — About this game
Mr. Smith moves through guarded bases in South America with a handgun and limited ammunition. Doors set into walls and containers are more than scenery: step inside to free civilians, find extra rounds or obtain a machine gun. Keeping UP held lets you remain behind a door while an enemy passes, giving the search a practical defensive use.
The key rescue is the captured soldier carrying the bomb needed to leave the base. Reaching the far end without him will not finish the mission. Jump between tiers, crouch below fire and choose when to spend rounds, then collect the messages that gradually expose the organization behind the cartel. A password system supports returning to earlier progress.
