DuckTales 2 (The Disney Afternoon Collection) — About this game
This entry is the NES game included in The Disney Afternoon Collection. Its campaign and original button actions remain the focus here; the collection’s challenges, gallery and rewind or save tools belong to the host collection.
A torn family treasure map sends Scrooge to several selectable destinations. Each has a guarded treasure, but discovering hidden map pieces requires more than reaching the boss. Inspect false walls, try pulling switches and return with a cane upgrade when a heavy obstacle blocks the way. Gyro’s adaptors strengthen the cane’s different uses automatically once found.
The pogo jump remains the main tool for bouncing across hazards and attacking from above; unlike the first game, it only needs B held after a jump. Golf swings turn nearby rocks and boxes into moving weapons. Money collected along the way can be spent between outings on recovery and other supplies, making shopping part of route planning. Finding treasures and completing the secret map are related but distinct goals.
