Resume with START, then A attacks, uses the prepared item or casts according to the active icon. Key+A opens doors/chests; tent+A eats/drinks.
Dungeon Magic: Sword of the Elements — About this game
An unarmed adventurer arrives in Granville as Darces threatens the land once more. Finding Magi’s five elemental swords leads toward the powerful blade Tores, but the journey also involves towns, castles and outdoor routes viewed from inside the world. Enemies move and attack in real time. Strike, step back or turn aside to avoid retaliation, and keep enough food, drink and healing supplies for the trip home.
The five teachers of Granville offer different schools of magic. At first you choose one; later discoveries open further study. Spells are assembled from symbols rather than simply selected by name, so recording useful combinations is part of exploration. Casting consumes HP, which makes experiments and strong attacks a health decision as well as a tactical one. Visit your teacher for advancement after gaining experience, and make maps of unfamiliar areas. Inns recover the hero and record progress in the original battery-backed cartridge; the title then offers CONTINUE YOUR ADVENTURE. This is the English NES adventure, separate from Taito’s later arcade game with the same name.
