How to Play Journey to Silius

Quick start

Press START at the title. In the colony ruins, use the handgun to learn the first robots’ timing and jump clear of gaps with A. Press START, cycle to the shotgun with SELECT, then press START to return. Try its spread against targets at different heights, keeping gun energy for the miniboss and helicopter. Take red capsules for health and blue ones for weapons.

Controls

Left/right moves; down lies low; A jumps; B fires. SELECT pauses during play. START opens the weapon screen, SELECT cycles through guns there, and START returns to action. The machine gun fires continuously while B is held.

Journey to Silius — About this game

Changing weapons is a decision about both firing pattern and remaining energy. Jay starts with an unlimited handgun and a three-way shotgun; minibosses in the first four stages add a machine gun, homing missiles, a penetrating laser and a grenade launcher. The five special weapons draw from one common gun-energy meter, so switching guns does not provide fresh ammunition. Red capsules restore health and blue capsules refill that shared reserve. Ordinary shots travel horizontally: lying down, choosing a jump and meeting an enemy at the right height matter more than aiming in every direction. The five-stage route runs from a destroyed space colony through enemy installations to a spaceship factory. Its final moving-container section scrolls automatically, making safe landing positions just as important as shooting. Three normal continues and mid-stage restart points offer room to learn, but there is no unlimited stock of retries. START opens the gun menu; SELECT pauses during play and changes guns inside that menu.
