How to Play Kick Master
Quick start
Choose GAME START for a new journey. To learn commands first, enter OPTIONS, select DEMO OF KICKS with the directional pad and confirm; choose EXIT to begin play. In the forest, use down+B against a low enemy and up+B against one above. Jump for useful drops while avoiding skulls, and open the first chest to obtain Bouncing Bulb.
Controls
Left/right moves, down crouches, A jumps higher when held and B kicks. Down+B sweeps; up+B strikes upward. At level 1, jump then down+B for a knee drop; at level 2, down+left/right+B slides. START pauses for spell selection; A selects a spell and SELECT casts it during play, spending MP.
Kick Master — About this game
Each defeated enemy sends items into the air, turning the end of a fight into a quick decision. Experience coins unlock new kicks and raise maximum health and magic; hearts and bottles restore the corresponding reserves, while skulls cause harm. Thonolan starts with a standing kick, a sweep and an upward strike. Later techniques include a knee drop, a slide and a flying kick, changing both combat and how he crosses tight spaces. Twelve spells are found along the route or won from enemies, offering attacks, healing, protection and temporary flight. Selecting a spell in the pause menu is separate from casting it with SELECT, and its MP cost makes restraint worthwhile. Eight areas take the journey from a witches’ forest toward Belzed’s tower, with hidden chambers and bosses along the way. Passwords preserve the area, learned level, spells, MP and lives, but discard experience accumulated toward the next level. The options menu includes demonstrations of kicks for learning their commands.
