Mega Man 4 (Mega Man Legacy Collection) — About this game

This entry is the NES game included in Mega Man Legacy Collection. Its campaign and original button actions remain the focus here; the collection’s challenges, gallery and rewind or save tools belong to the host collection.

The New Mega Buster adds a choice between immediate shots and a stronger blast prepared while moving. Charging does not remove the need to learn enemy timing: sliding under an attack or saving a captured weapon for a boss can still be the better answer. Eight selectable stages lead through rain, machinery and other distinct hazards before the fortress campaign.

Rush returns as a springboard and, once unlocked, other vehicles. Hidden Wire and Balloon adaptors reward looking beyond the direct route, while Eddie sometimes brings a random supply. Cleared robot stages can be revisited without fighting their boss again, making a return trip useful for missed equipment. Record the password layout when offered; it is the original game’s restart system, rather than a promise to resume at any arbitrary point.
