How to Play Rush’n Attack

Quick start

Use SELECT at the title to choose 1P or 2P, then START. Begin at the iron bridge and missile base. Move right cautiously, use B against nearby infantry and press up to jump rather than A. When you obtain a special weapon, use A to activate it; save limited shots for clustered enemies or the stage's final attack.

Controls

Left/right: move. Up: jump, or climb a ladder; down: lie low or climb down. B: close-range attack. A: use the captured power-up weapon or effect. SELECT chooses 1P/2P before play. START begins or pauses. Two-player mode is simultaneous, one controller per soldier.

Rush’n Attack — About this game

Armed initially with a combat knife, your soldier crosses a missile base, airfield, harbor and other hostile installations toward the final enemy weapon. Six stages mix approaching infantry, elevated routes and dangerous end-of-stage attacks. Climb ladders to change levels, crouch beneath threats and time jumps with the directional pad. Certain defeated enemies supply heavier weapons: bazookas and grenades have limited uses, while other items provide temporary benefits. Two people can advance together on the same screen, covering opposite approaches while keeping separate scores. Short attack range and scarce ammunition make positioning and deciding when to spend a special weapon central to survival.
