Snake's Revenge — About this game
Snake returns to the field with John and Nick providing support, but the player controls Snake alone. Search enemy territory for numbered door cards, ammunition and specialised equipment, rescue prisoners to improve rank, and use truth gas to question captured commanders. Radio contacts replace manual frequency tuning, while the radar can reveal a nearby transmitter left by an ally. A quieter approach has a practical reward: some guards defeated with punches drop supplies, whereas a knife gives a faster close-range takedown. The route moves from jungle infiltration into buildings and transport areas, with separate side-view sections that change the buttons and restrict available gear. Those passages add jumping, crawling and underwater oxygen management. Defeat permits another attempt, and the PASSWORD option records progress for later. This NES sequel is distinct from the MSX2 game Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
