How to Play Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces
Quick start
Select 1 PLAYER or 2 PLAYERS with SELECT, then press START. On the opening side-view stage, practice firing with B, jumping with A and lying down with Down. Clear the route before collecting an upgrade. When the view switches overhead, use movement to evade instead of trying to jump.
Controls
D-pad: move and aim; Down lies prone in side-view stages. A: jump in side view. B: fire; with Flame-Thrower, hold and release B for a stronger shot. Overhead stages allow neither jumping nor lying down. You cannot fire while lying down in water. SELECT: choose players or CONTINUE/END; START: begin, confirm, pause/resume.
Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces — About this game
The sequel replaces the first game’s rear-view bases with overhead battlefields. On these stages you can move around the ground freely, but cannot jump or lie down, so dodging depends on position and a clear route. Side-view stages bring back platform jumps, prone fire and attacks from multiple heights. Shoot capsules and sensors to reveal weapons: Spread Gun covers five directions, Machine Gun sustains fire and Laser pierces armour. The Flame-Thrower now bursts on impact and can produce a stronger shot by holding and releasing B. A hit, enemy contact or fall costs a life, making survival and safe item collection part of every advance. Eight stages lead toward the alien base. Two players fight simultaneously, and both must move forward to keep the screen scrolling. This European edition is titled Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces and presents the heroes as robots.
