Two kinds of challenge feed the same mission. On the surface, the guardian walks through a connected overhead labyrinth, finds information, collects equipment and opens new regions with keys. Entering a corridor transforms her into a fighter for a scrolling battle ending at a powerful enemy. Those victories can provide another key or activate part of Naju’s ten-device safety system. Exploration therefore supplies the weapons and defenses needed for flight, while successful flights open further exploration. The normal shot can fire continuously without ammunition; optional weapons draw on limited supplies, including the Power Chips also used in exchanges. Different attack directions and weapon patterns give a reason to adjust equipment before a corridor. Life and chip capacity, shields and gun improvements reward searching side rooms. Passwords preserve the adventure between sessions.
