How to Play Wizardry: Knight of Diamonds — The Second Scenario
Quick start
Choose Start Game with A. At Gilgamesh’s Tavern use ADD to assemble the six prepared characters and inspect their equipment. Select Edge of Town→MAZE; use the opening camp to equip and reorder, then LEAVE. Map the first floor and write down who wants which key or token. To stop underground use SELECT→QUIT, then Edge of Town→LEAVE GAME. RESTART AN OUT PARTY resumes when you select a member of the waiting group.
Controls
D-Pad selects options and steers the first-person party; A confirms, B cancels or returns to the previous menu. Camp commands include INSPECT, EQUIP, REORDER and LEAVE. SELECT in the maze opens QUIT or SEARCH. Battle orders are chosen for each character, then executed; TAKE BACK revises a command. Chest INSPECT or CALFO checks traps, DISARM attempts removal, LEAVE ALONE declines.
Wizardry: Knight of Diamonds — The Second Scenario — About this game
Llylgamyn has lost the staff that guarded it from invaders. Your task is to recover the Knight of Diamonds’ equipment and prove worthy of reclaiming Gnilda’s staff. Six dungeon floors are explored in first person, with new routes, trading encounters, hidden doors and key items. Keep a map and notes about exchanges: finding stairs alone does not solve the route to the relics. This NES adventure starts with its own party rather than requiring imported veterans from another cartridge.
Gather up to six adventurers at the tavern, using the prepared group or creating characters at the training grounds. Race, alignment and attributes affect class choices. The first three positions fight with weapons, while the rest contribute spells and items in command battles. Visit the inn to restore spell uses and check levels after earning experience. Inspect trapped chests and consider the cost and possible failure of temple resurrection. Original cartridge memory records the expedition as it progresses; suspending an underground party and safely leaving the game use separate commands.
