How to Play NHL 2000
Quick start
Choose a team and start a single match. Practise moving into space, making a short pass and shooting when the path toward goal is clear; retreat quickly after losing the puck.
Controls
The D-pad skates and steers the active player. With the puck, A shoots and B passes. Use the match menu through START to pause and review the available settings.

NHL 2000 — Begin with a single match and use the opening shifts to learn the movement and shooting range. A pass into open ice can be more useful than carrying the puck into several defenders. After a shot, watch for the loose puck and be ready to recover it. On defence, keep a skater between the attacking player and the goal before trying to regain possession.
