How to Play Ni no Kuni - Shikkoku no Madoushi
Quick start
Start a new adventure and follow Oliver’s first conversations. Practise movement and examination, consult Magic Master when a rune or clue is requested and draw the symbol on the lower screen. In battle, choose each member’s action and target before the turn resolves.
Controls
+Control Pad moves and A confirms, talks or examines. X opens the bag on the field and Y opens magic. Use the stylus for runes and touch menus; in battle select actions and targets, and check HP and MP before committing the party’s turn.
Ni no Kuni - Shikkoku no Madoushi — About this game
Travel with Oliver through a magical world, exploring towns and dungeons while building a party of companions and familiars. The DS battles ask you to choose the whole party’s commands before actions play out in speed order: attack, magic, items, defence and a carefully timed reserve swap offer different solutions. Spell learning also uses the stylus to draw runes from the accompanying Magic Master book, whose information is part of the adventure. Begin with the opening story, read each new spell’s instructions and prepare healing and MP before venturing farther.
