How to Play Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island
Quick start
Choose Start Game from the main menu, then Single Play. In the opening field area, move left and right, jump with A and use the flower interactions to search for crystals. Open the gate after meeting the crystal requirement, then enter the action area for the boss. Change characters with Y when a different movement ability helps. Collect the appropriate power pickup before trying X for a super power.
Controls
DS: D-pad left/right moves, Down crouches and holding Down scrolls the view. A jumps; SpongeBob can float with his A action. B attacks. Danny uses A then B for a jumping kick; Timmy uses A then A for a double jump. Y changes character, X activates an acquired super power and START pauses. Touch icons handle flower/star, platform, energy and health actions.

Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island sends SpongeBob, Danny Phantom and Timmy Turner against the evil Mawgu. The DS adventure splits each stage into a field area and an action area. In the field, flowers hide crystals needed to open the gate; beyond it, a boss stands between the team and the next stage. Switching characters changes how you cross obstacles: SpongeBob can float, Timmy has a double jump and Danny can use a jumping kick. Touch-screen icons add attack stars, platforms and help from Wanda to the button-controlled action. Searching carefully for flowers and managing health and energy matter alongside fighting.
