How to Play Nicktoons MLB
Quick start
Choose a quick game, select your team and complete its cartoon-character lineup. During the first at-bat, focus on timing a contact swing instead of spending energy immediately. When pitching, vary the four available pitch types and watch the highlighted scoring areas of the strike zone. Use R for a boost only after a meter segment is filled. Try Distance Derby if you want a separate session devoted to batting.
Controls
DS: use the displayed pitch and batting commands to choose among four pitches, contact/power swings and bunting. Time swings to the incoming ball. R spends an available power-meter segment for an enhanced swing, pitch or runner. Watch the meter before activating it. These are DS button-led baseball actions; motion-controlled swinging is not required.

Nicktoons MLB on DS mixes real baseball teams with Nickelodeon characters in an accessible arcade game. Pitchers choose from four standard pitches, while batters balance contact swings, power swings and bunts. Successful hits and pitches aimed at designated parts of the strike zone fill the team's power meter. Spending a segment boosts a play; saving the whole bar opens stronger special options. A quick game offers a short introduction, while tournaments and a full season give the team a longer campaign. Distance Derby focuses on the total distance of home runs from ten pitches. Timing and deciding when to spend energy remain central to the cartoon crossover.
