How to Play Nihongo de Asobo DS
Quick start
Choose a passage and listen to its narration while reading. Open a writing or picture-search activity and follow the prompt. For karuta, listen to the reading and select the matching card instead of choosing by picture alone.
Controls
Use the displayed touch targets and writing area with the stylus. Watch whether the task asks for a picture, words or a card. Follow any separate voice-input prompt and check the current activity’s instructions before replying.
Nihongo de Asobo DS — About this game
Listen to Japanese literary passages, familiar sayings and tongue twisters, then take part in activities built around their words. Narration is the starting point, but writing, picture searching and karuta make this more than a reading collection. Hear a phrase, inspect its wording and respond in the format requested by the activity; a picture prompt and a writing task need different attention. Begin with a short passage and its recording, then try the associated activity or listen for the matching card in karuta.
