How to Play Nippon Ichi no Meikantoku
Quick start
Press START on the title, select "Create a team" and press A. Use the cross button to select a letter and press A to register the director's name. After allocating bonus points and selecting the five teams your team will play against, proceed to ``Start the game.'' First of all, let's learn the flow by setting up a short 30 games. Select "Shiai" from the menu, check the batting order and fielding position, and press START on the order screen to start the match. It's not a game where you bat and pitch using controls, so press A to open the command screen only when necessary.
Controls
Cross button: Select an item or player. A: Decision, command screen call during the match. B: Cancel (some cannot be done), and during the match, speeds up progress only while pressed. START: From the title to the selection screen, or works the same as A; the match starts on the order screen. During a match, press SELECT and press B to switch between progress speeds and the match screen will not be displayed at high speeds. To change the batting order, choose the first person up or down and choose A, then choose the second person and A. To change to a backup player, select the target using the up and down buttons and send the candidate with B.
Nippon Ichi no Meikantoku — About this game
``Japan's Greatest Manager'' is a work in which you compete in a pennant race from the perspective of managing a team, rather than pitching or hitting the ball yourself. Choose your team and five opponents from 12 teams, and form a league with those six teams. Before the game, he adjusts the batting order and defensive position, and during the game, he gives instructions on offense and defense as needed and leaves it to the players. There is a limit to the number of steps that can be used for operational commands between games, so it is up to you to decide where to start. The practice environment, stadium facilities, and loyalty of players and scorers affect performance and income, and if players can no longer be paid their daily wages, the game is over. Rather than just chasing winning percentages, it is necessary to develop a team that can attract spectators and support expenses.
