How to Play Obocchama-kun
Quick start
Press A on the title and select "Yarimashu from the beginning". When you are asked to confirm deletion of existing data, confirm that you want to delete it, then select it. Set the number of people, characters, etc., and select the decision item on the screen with A. Heart goals can be increased with A and decreased with B. After starting, look at the destination on the world map, and on your turn press A to open "Jiten" and press A again to stop. Use the cross button to move, and if you get lost, press B to search or check the ``mokutei''.
Controls
Cross button: movement, command and cursor selection. A: Decide, send text. B: Cancelled. Advance the title with A, and do not use the usual START/SELECT. For "Jiten", press A to turn the page, then press A again to stop and decide the number of moves. You can check the search, world, and mokuteki with B while moving. When searching, use the cross button to select a location, press A to display information, and press B to return. When setting the number of hearts, A increases it and B decreases it.
Obocchama-kun — About this game
The Famicom version of ``Obotchamakun'' is a board game about a race to find what Samayo wants from all over the world and deliver it to the town where she lives. Instead of rolling the dice, stop the "Jitten" page and move the squares by the number rolled up. If you discover and deliver the gift yourself, you'll get three hearts; if you steal it from the other person and deliver it, you'll get one, so it's a matter of deciding whether to aim for a shortcut or steal it. Check the general destination on a world map, check the surrounding topography using a search, and assemble your trip by connecting land gates, ports, airports, and stations. Rivers, ice, and incidents along the way can affect your physical strength and belongings, so you can't let your guard down even after getting the gift. Try to reach the set number of hearts first while being surrounded by word play and obstructing items typical of the original.
