How to Play Onmyou Taisenki: Zeroshiki
Quick start
Start anew from the title and defeat your first enemy in the introductory battle. The next morning, pick up the Divine Control Machine in the room, visit your grandfather at the hospital, then head north to the school and proceed to the third floor. After the conversation, start your journey, return to the shrine from earlier, and fight the boy on his way home from cram school. If you answer "yes" to the question after victory, the beetle-shaped shikigami will join your party. It is safe to play a few battles at a nearby training center to learn how to handle the main character's level and ceremony points, and then move on to searching for stones.
Controls
Cross button: Move the field, select menus, enter the direction of the mark with the octagonal mirror during battle. A: Talk, investigate, decide. B: Cancel, press and move in the field to run. In battle, select a technique on the screen and quickly input the displayed symbol using the cross button to activate the special technique. The longer the mark, the more points are required, and the faster the input, the higher the attack multiplier. I haven't been able to confirm the definitive assignment of START, SELECT, L, and R in public documentation, so I'm not making any guesses.
