How to Play Ontamarama
Quick start
Choose Beat or Rest and begin Normal story play. Tap a matching creature before its note arrives, press the indicated direction on the target and practise a sustained note.
Controls
Tap Ontama or circle same-colored groups with the stylus. Use the directional pad or the alternate face-button scheme to play filled notes on time. Hold long notes, avoid black Ontama and use supported microphone breaths for limited board clears.
Ontamarama — About this game
Ontamarama splits your attention between clearing creatures and playing rhythm notes. Tap an Ontama to fill its matching colored note before it reaches the target, then press the corresponding direction on the beat. Long notes must also be held and released correctly. Groups of one color can be circled, large creatures need extra attention and black ones harm performance. Begin the story as Beat or Rest on Normal, learn the color-to-direction link and clear upcoming colors before their notes arrive. Limited microphone breaths can clear the board during a crowded passage. Song rewards buy upgrades, while cleared story content opens replay modes for improving scores.
