How to Play Onyanko Town
Quick start
Press SELECT on the title, select 1 PLAYER, and press START. Use the cross button to move Milky and search for the kitten. First, use B to open and close the manhole in front of you, and learn how to close the lid so you don't fall in. When the dog follows you, invite it to the hole you opened, and when it falls, close it with B. After touching a kitten and taking it with you, you won't be able to jump and your feet will be slow, so make sure to check the path and manhole to your house before heading home.
Controls
Cross button: Change the direction of movement to up, down, left, or right. It continues walking even if you turn away from it, and stops when it faces an obstacle. A: Jump. However, this is not possible when you are accompanied by Michael. B: Open and close the manhole cover in the direction you are facing. SELECT: Select the number of people in the title (not used during play). START: Start the selected game, pause and resume during play.
Onyanko Town — About this game
An action game in which a mother cat, Milky, runs around the city in search of her kitten, Michael, who has run away from home. Because the dog was chasing her and there were cars on the road, she couldn't just get to the kitten as quickly as possible and get home safely. Open the manhole in the direction you are facing with B, and when the dog falls in, close it to reduce the number of pursuers, and if necessary, press A to jump over obstacles. Milky will continue walking even if you turn away from her direction, so the places she turns and the walls she can stop on can also be used as clues to determine her path. The big change is that while you find Michael and take him with you, your movement will be slower and you won't be able to jump. On the way back, it is important to close the hole and choose a safe route. There are times when you can hit a dog with a fish, but be careful not to chase the fishmonger.
