How to Play Over the Hedge: Hammy Goes Nuts!
Quick start
Choose Story Mode and begin the opening golf lesson. Move Hammy around the top-down course, inspect the route to the hole, and reposition or turn the obstacle highlighted by the tutorial. When the course is ready, switch to the golfer, aim the shot through a full 360 degrees, and press the shot button as the red-to-green power meter reaches the strength you want. The first goal is to sink the ball within the par limit; later holes also ask you to collect items or smash marked objects. Clearing Story courses unlocks the tougher Challenge and the more traditional Arcade course set.
Controls
Control Pad: move Hammy around the course and aim the golfer. A: confirm menu choices and dialogue, interact with the highlighted course object, lock in a shot and stop the timed power meter when prompted. B: cancel or return from a menu. Course prompts explain whether an object should be pushed, pulled or turned; press or hold the shown action button as instructed. The reviewed GBA sources say the game uses every GBA button in context but do not publish a complete, reliable L/R/SELECT map, so no fixed function is invented for them.
