Over the Hedge — About this game
The DS Over the Hedge is a mission-based adventure in which RJ, Verne and Hammy gather food and objects while avoiding people, pets and traps. Start a new game through the map icon, read the objective and check the lower screen for enemy sight ranges. Missions use one or two animals, whose abilities solve different problems: RJ sniffs out quest items, Verne protects himself in his shell and Hammy runs faster. Larger food must be carried to an exit to count, so reaching an item is only part of the job. Revisit completed missions with another animal to reach missed areas. A separate two-player Download Play game, Capture the Food, has a timed collection-and-delivery contest rather than cooperative story missions.
