How to Play Pac-Man - Special Color Edition
Quick start
Press START, highlight PAC-MAN with up/down or SELECT and confirm with START or A. Leave 1 PLAYER selected and press START to begin; left/right on its title screen changes the maze view. For the puzzle game, select PAC-ATTACK instead, choose NORMAL MODE and start at EASY while learning how to group ghosts.
Controls
Pac-Man: use the D-pad to move; START pauses or resumes. Pac-Attack: left/right moves the falling cluster, down speeds its descent and A or B rotates it; START pauses or resumes. SELECT or up/down changes the game selection. In Pac-Attack, SELECT is not a move during play.
Pac-Man - Special Color Edition — About this game
Pac-Man rewards planned routes through a maze that becomes more dangerous as the ghosts speed up. Power Pellets briefly turn pursuers into targets, and a linked two-player contest can send an eaten ghost to the other player's screen. Pac-Attack changes the problem: complete horizontal block rows, keep ghosts accessible and remember that Pac-Man can travel sideways or down, but never climb. Normal Mode builds speed over time, while Puzzle Mode offers fixed challenges and passwords for resuming progress.
