How to Play Panzer Tactics DS
Quick start
Begin with training, then enter a campaign and read the first briefing, objective and turn limit. Select a unit and inspect its information on the upper screen before moving. Use the contextual orders to advance and attack with suitable units. Keep support close enough to help and check your positions and supply before ending a turn.
Controls
Use the stylus to select troops and issue movement or attack orders through the unit's contextual menu on the lower hex map. The upper screen shows unit and supply information. The D-pad and buttons also provide a control option; follow the displayed button prompts for each menu. Confirm the destination and available order before committing a unit or ending the turn.
Panzer Tactics DS — About this game
Each battle asks you to solve a military problem with a force whose units have different jobs. Tanks, infantry, artillery, aircraft and ships must work together across a hexagonal map, while terrain, weather and supply affect how useful they are. German, Soviet and Western Allied campaigns frame the fighting through historical objectives. The DS screens divide information from action: the upper screen reports troop details and supplies, and the touch screen holds the battlefield and its command menus. A training mode introduces the basics before you organise forces for campaign missions. Success depends on reaching the assigned objectives within the mission's turn allowance, rather than simply pushing every unit towards the nearest enemy.
