Choose New Game, enter your name with the D-pad and A, press START to finish the name, then choose a difficulty; difficulty changes how many needs each guest animal has. Scenario 1, “The first step is always the hardest,” asks you to board six rabbits and return every one bright, healthy and happy. Accept a customer only when an enclosure has room, inspect the animal's two information pages, then fetch the correct feed from the red-carpet storeroom and use the pen's action menu to feed, pet, clean and exercise it. Check each need bar rather than spending blindly. To complete a scenario, every returned animal needs health of at least 50.

At the resort, the D-pad highlights menus and moves the character. A confirms, advances to the next screen and opens context/action menus. B cancels, closes an action menu and returns to the previous screen. START pauses and opens/closes the Options menu, where scenario goals, save and load are available; when the PAUSE banner appears, press A to stop all action as well as the clock. While riding, left/right on the D-pad slow down or speed up the horse and A jumps; START pauses/opens Options.
