How to Play Hyper Dyne - SideArms Special
Quick start
Use SELECT at the title screen to choose Standard or BC mode, then start with RUN. Practise firing both ways; in Standard mode, use RUN and left or right to select an acquired weapon.
Controls
The direction pad moves the robot, I fires right and II fires left. In Standard mode, SELECT pauses and RUN opens weapon selection. In BC mode, RUN pauses.
Hyper Dyne - SideArms Special — About this game
A heavily armed flying robot battles through enemy territory with both horizontal and vertical scrolling. Attacks can come from either side, making the ability to fire in opposite directions a central part of surviving crowded formations. Weapon changes alter the shape of your fire and the distance at which enemies are easiest to handle. Position the robot with room to retreat, then turn its fire towards threats that have moved past you instead of chasing them into the next wave. The Special release adapts Side Arms for the PC Engine CD while retaining this directional shooting emphasis. Learn how each attack behaves before trying to collect a pickup in the middle of incoming fire.
