Play J.B. Harold Murder Club (US edition · English / Japanese) Online

Detective J. B. Harold investigates a murder by comparing witness statements, physical evidence and the accounts of possible suspects. The case unfolds through command menus rather than through action stages: visit a location, question its occupants and examine what they tell you against the information already gathered. A useful lead can make a previously unproductive interview worth repeating, so the investigation rewards keeping track of connections between people. Do not assume that collecting a statement makes it true. Build a consistent explanation from several pieces of evidence and revisit the people whose accounts no longer fit. The CD presentation gives the procedural investigation a spoken dramatic element while leaving the deduction and order of enquiries in the player's hands.
