How to Play Juuouki
Quick start
Start with RUN, use the opening enemies to practise punch and kick range and collect the power orbs that appear. Keep clear space around the hero as he transforms.
Controls
The direction pad moves the hero. I and II perform the primary attacks; press them together to jump. RUN starts or pauses play.

A resurrected warrior advances through a mythological battlefield, gathering power that transforms him from a human fighter into a beast. Kicks and punches handle the early enemies, while the powered forms provide different attacks for confronting larger threats. Collecting the transformation power is central to each stage rather than an optional diversion: the change gives the hero the strength needed for the major confrontation ahead. Watch both sides of the screen and avoid standing where enemies can approach simultaneously from opposite directions. The PC Engine CD adaptation of Altered Beast adds story presentation to the arcade-style progression. Learn the human attacks first, then take a moment to discover the transformed creature's reach when the power-up sequence is complete.
