How to Play Last Alert
Quick start
Press RUN, choose NEW GAME and watch the first briefing. Clear enemies with the ordinary weapon, check the objective and use RUN to inspect the equipment subscreen before spending a special weapon.
Controls
The direction pad moves Guy. II fires the ordinary weapon and holding it fixes the firing direction with turbo off; I uses the selected special weapon. RUN opens the weapon subscreen; SELECT pauses.

Commando Guy Kazama takes on the Force Project through missions that mix overhead shooting with specific military objectives. Some stages end in a boss confrontation, others require an action such as placing a bomb, and infiltration stages punish careless use of heavy weaponry by drawing more enemies. Experience improves Guy's capabilities and unlocks ordinary weapons, while collected special weapons have limited uses. The distinction matters when choosing how to handle a crowded encounter: a powerful attack can solve the immediate problem but leave fewer supplies for the next one. Read the briefing before each action scene, check the time remaining and select equipment that serves the mission rather than simply choosing the strongest-looking gun.
