Six-year-old Arle faces a rather unusual final examination: exploring a dangerous tower instead of answering questions in a classroom. The corridors are shown from a first-person viewpoint, with monsters interrupting the search for three magical orbs. Arle relies on spells, items and careful exploration rather than conventional weapon fighting. The series gives physical condition and magical power a playful presentation, so reactions and spoken feedback deserve attention alongside the map. Returning to a familiar junction with better supplies can be more useful than repeatedly challenging a difficult encounter. This PC Engine remake builds its adventure around Arle and her graduation test, giving dungeon exploration a comic setting without removing the need to manage resources.
