How to Play Mahjong on the Beach
Quick start
Choose the town adventure or a direct match. In the adventure, follow the first route into an encounter; at the table, identify connected tiles before choosing an isolated tile to discard.
Controls
The direction pad selects a tile or table command. Confirm discards or accepts the highlighted action; cancel declines an optional call and returns to the previous menu.

Mahjong on the Beach connects tile matches through a coastal town explored from above. Moving through that setting brings encounters with opponents, and a victory allows the journey to continue. A separate mode offers a more direct choice of whom to face without the same town exploration. At the table, shaping a valid scoring hand remains the essential task: choose discards that preserve useful sequences or pairs, and consider how a call changes the patterns still available. Watch the opponent’s discards before committing to a risky tile late in a round. The setting gives the matches their character, while the two modes provide different ways to approach the same tile-based competition.
