Mamono Hunter Youko: Makai Kara no Tenkousei — About this game
Shoma’s arrival at a new school becomes stranger when he meets Yohko Mano, heir to the Devil Hunter tradition. Together with Chikako, they are transported into another dimension where the inhabitants appear to know more about Shoma than he does. The game unfolds through illustrated scenes and menus of actions rather than direct combat. Looking, talking, thinking and moving reveal the information required to trigger the next event. Some actions lead to lists of people or objects, and a command can produce a new response after an important conversation. Progress therefore comes from following the developing situation and revisiting relevant topics, rather than searching for a hidden jumping route or relying on reflexes.
