How to Play Mysterious Song
Quick start
Follow the king’s instructions, check equipment and speak with townspeople before traveling. Learn the hero’s basic attack first, then use companions’ magic selectively as the party grows.
Controls
The direction pad moves the party and highlights commands. Confirm talks, examines and chooses battle actions; cancel returns. Use the menu to equip gear, use items and manage spells.
Mysterious Song — About this game
A royal assignment sends the hero away from familiar surroundings to investigate the problems spreading through the land. Two companions eventually give the group a mix of physical strength and magical support, with the hero balancing elements of both. Exploration follows the style of early console role-playing games: settlements provide clues and services, dangerous routes bring encounters, and experience steadily improves the party. Spells consume points rather than demanding complicated input, so deciding when to use them is part of managing a longer journey. This PC Engine CD release remakes the earlier freeware adventure for the console. The straightforward system makes preparation easy to understand while still rewarding a party that reaches its next destination with resources left.
