How to Play Neo Nectaris
Quick start
Choose the Neo Nectaris campaign and inspect the first map before moving. Keep complementary units within supporting distance, use favorable terrain and avoid leaving one vehicle surrounded after an attack.
Controls
The direction pad moves the cursor across hexes and commands. Confirm selects a unit, destination or attack; cancel returns. Use the command menu to inspect units and end your turn.
Neo Nectaris — About this game
Neo Nectaris continues the tactical system of Nectaris with a new set of maps and changes to the available forces. Armies take turns moving and attacking across hexagonal battlefields, where terrain and nearby units influence the odds of a fight. A unit’s apparent strength tells only part of the story: support, encirclement and the kind of target can turn an exchange in either direction. Preserving a useful formation is often better than advancing every unit as far as possible. The disc also includes the original Nectaris, allowing its earlier campaign to be approached alongside the sequel’s scenarios. Before attacking, inspect both the immediate target and the enemy forces that can answer on their next turn.
