How to Play The Pro Yakyuu Super '94
Quick start
Choose a team and a short exhibition game, or open Home Run Contest to practice hitting. Learn the timing of a normal swing before attempting aggressive plays with runners on base.
Controls
The direction pad selects pitches, positions or menu choices according to the phase of play. The action buttons deliver pitches, swing and perform fielding actions. Use the in-game menus for substitutions and strategy.
The Pro Yakyuu Super '94 — About this game
The 1994 entry in The Pro Yakyuu series updates its licensed Japanese teams and players while retaining the mixture of baseball action and managerial decisions. Pitching, batting and field play create different demands, and the selected mode determines how much the player controls directly. The Home Run Contest isolates batting against a computer pitcher, providing a focused way to practice reading a delivery and choosing a swing. In a full game, decisions about the next pitch or substitution matter alongside the immediate action. Watch the count and runners rather than treating every ball as a chance for the same swing.
