Pairs of colored Puyos fall into a well where groups of four matching pieces disappear. The remaining pieces then fall again, making it possible to arrange one clearance that triggers another. Those chains send nuisance Puyos to the opponent, turning careful preparation into an attack. The CD version gives the character encounters full voice work and adds its own presentation around the puzzle battles. A useful opening keeps the center from becoming dangerously high while leaving space to extend a chain. Clearing a small group immediately is safe, but learning to delay that first clear can produce a much stronger result.
