Quick start
Follow the opening scene into the first fight. Practice movement and a short attack, then wait for the opponent to miss before attempting a longer sequence.
Controls
The direction pad moves, jumps and crouches during fights. The action buttons perform attacks, with directional combinations producing additional techniques. Use confirm to advance dialogue and RUN to pause the action.

Datou, Ganso Musabetsu Kakutou-ryuu continues the PC Engine Ranma adventure, linking martial-arts confrontations with anime-style, voiced storytelling. The cast’s rivalries and comic misunderstandings frame the fights, while the player must learn the distance and timing of the available attacks. A successful exchange begins with recognizing what the opponent is about to do, then choosing whether to guard, move away or counter. Trying a long attack without an opening can leave Ranma exposed when the opponent recovers. Watch the story transitions as well as the bout itself, because they explain the next confrontation. The sequel’s appeal comes from carrying the familiar characters through a succession of dramatic and comic fighting situations.
