Quick start
Begin the story and practice Ranma’s jump and basic attack in the first area. Cross the early gaps deliberately and approach enemies from a position with room to retreat.
Controls
The direction pad moves Ranma and controls jumps. Use the action buttons to attack and jump; combine directions and attacks for the available techniques. RUN pauses the action.

The first Ranma game for PC Engine CD follows the martial artist through side-view stages beginning around the series’ familiar Jusenkyo setting. Enemies and platform obstacles share the route, so handling a fight also means paying attention to where the next jump will land. The anime’s characters and voiced scenes provide the context between action sections. Rather than rushing into every opponent, learn Ranma’s ordinary reach and use movement to keep threats from approaching on both sides. A missed jump can be as costly as a badly timed attack, especially near an edge. The combination of story presentation and stage action gives the journey a different structure from a tournament-only fighting game.
