Ruin: Kami no Isan — About this game
Jan and Ortena return from a treasure hunt to find their country overrun by monsters. Their search for survivors and answers becomes a journey connected with the legacy of an earlier civilization. Ruin keeps enemies visible in its top-down areas and resolves fights where the party encounters them, rather than switching to a separate turn-based battle screen. The player directly controls Jan, while companions follow their own combat and support routines. That makes positioning important: Jan’s movement influences how the group meets a threat and whether allies can help. Towns, equipment and character growth provide the role-playing structure around the action. The world’s route is guided by the story, so conversations explain the next destination.
