The direction pad moves, jumps, crouches and guards when held away from the opponent. Action buttons perform the configured punches, kicks and other functions. Combine directional motions with attacks for special techniques.

Art of Fighting — About this game

Art of Fighting begins with Yuri Sakazaki’s abduction and sends Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia against South Town’s fighters. The contest combines ordinary strikes with special techniques that consume spirit, making repeated powerful moves less effective when that resource is exhausted. Distance changes rapidly as the camera follows the fighters, so recognizing an opponent’s reach matters before committing to an attack. Recovering spirit and creating an opening are practical parts of the bout rather than pauses in the action. The PC Engine adaptation brings the story and confrontations to a console controller with configurable button support. Learn the ordinary attacks first, then use a special move when both the position and the spirit gauge support it. This entry is the demo edition; playable content is limited to the material included on the disc.
