In this world, skill at mahjong determines power as surely as strength on a battlefield. After the kingdom of Rida falls to the invading Darol army, royal guard Biares finds himself far from home and must work his way back. The journey combines a fantasy adventure with matches against the people standing in his path. Winning depends on reading a hand, choosing useful discards, and recognizing when an opponent threatens a completed combination. Story scenes provide the reason for each confrontation. Treat each match as part of the campaign: a disciplined defensive discard can be more valuable than chasing an ambitious hand too late.
