This PC Engine CD shooter sends your craft through a sequence of enemy-filled vertical stages, with character scenes connecting the missions. Pickups strengthen the main gun and provide secondary weapons, giving you different ways to handle formations and larger targets. Survival depends on reading incoming fire and keeping room to move, especially when collecting an item would carry the craft across a dangerous lane. Learn the behavior of a new weapon before approaching a boss. The action and the illustrated story operate at different tempos, so use the quieter transitions to prepare for the next stage rather than rushing immediately into the screen edge.
